30th July ->Double D Day (Disappointment and delight)

Today suppose to meet chinfee .. but things turn out not to my favour.She said she will be at school to do something around 9-6pm. Well i am naive enough to calculate myself the highest probabilty she will be in NYP is 2 pm. I woke up in the early morning to go gym.But 12.30pm she called my hp and say she leaving NYP....and i was in Bishan gym leh.She didn't expect to finish her job so soon.haiz... unbelieveable...
Anyway, i went to nyp main objective is not to meet her, but to get my industrial Attachment Cert.I have not claim mine for 1 yr liao. The moment i step out of the Yio Chu Kang MRT station, i feel young again.Like as if i am back to 18 yr old kid, still carrying back to school.When i walk the pavement, i am happy to see teenagers walking pass me.Dunno y, but seeing this relieve my stress.The Navy have a set of military rules to follow and i feel like been caged up. Everything in the navy looks the same, inflexible, and no life. Onli Buddies in the navy make my life more interesting.I not saying military school is not good... but is no where near like school...Onli NYP school is the best!
Any way once i collected my cert, i went up to 4 th floor to find my Final Yr project Lecturer.And i happened to see melissa working in the Lab.She was one of the bright students in my class.She was offered to sign a contract to work for NYP.i has been a yr since i have seen her. How time flies....~i chit chat with her for an hour.... until work interupt out conversation.Well maybe next time we will meet out.
I linger around the school.. the places we love to hang out.. Macdonalds,Food Junction and Bookshop etc.Everything looks the same... except for the Mac and food court have a gateway.Like MRt station, u need to scan admin card to get in.Fortunately the gateway is open public.Hm... izzit all along the gateway is open or i am lucky... it will open during non office hours...hm...
Too bad i have to go...Time was 5.30 pm.I realli wish I could turn back time....

 
25th July-Last day in sembawang Naval Camp

Friday supposed to be the day for us gunners to leave this place as we have already pass the course. But index number 16-25 have to do guard duty.. for one last time.
We played street soccer for 3 hours in the afternoon, one last time.I started to miss this place already.. after all i have been staying here for 8 months.
Guard duty consist of 18 personnel, 1 guy= 2 females. 10 of us guys Gunners +Junior Rating Course(3 guys + 10 gers).We have been doing guard duty with them 2 times in a row.I find them to be quite friendly and interesting.But too bad we might not be able to see each other again.Err.. not exactly as after they pass out everything after 3 months like us, they might be posted to the same ship with us.The In charged passed me the Guard duty Peronnel sheet to me last week.Got all of the contact numbers.I kept the piece of paper in the file, dun think i will need the paper .
Every morning 8 am, we have to do Colors.Colors is a practice like school's Marih Kita hoisting the flag up.But military style is basically more complicated.B4 the moment b4 flag is hoist up, the bell is struck 8 times followed by 3 pipers to sound :everyone stand still,then flag will be hoist up.After that, pipers will sound:everyone carry on.We need 6 people to do this job.i assume i will be a piper and start to practice on friday. But Sat morning, 7.55am, class Ic told me i will be hoisting the flag up.I am stunned.i have no expierience in doing this and will not mind actually . But military Rules are strict and any thing crop up like example, flag dropped on the floor or flag cannot go up etc will be punished severely. Well,with the help of my classmate anand, he told me the steps and things are going fine..except they said that the flags went up too slow.Can't believe i have a chance to raise a singapore flag.

After that we packed our things and leave...but monday we will be coming back to get our postings.

 
Presidential Garden REception

Navy personnel are responsible of the helping out in this event which fall on today.The President had invited his guests( Dr Tony tan and High ranking Officers,total 50-100) to Istana(President's home).From what i know, a speech will be given in the hall first, then he will invite the guests to the lawn to enjoy the music from the band and the food at the same time.The grass around the Presidential area are all holland grass.
Well Sat we went to instana to help carrying tables and familarized the area.9-1pm.
On sunday,we help out in the set up.11-9pm.Its very tiring, and quite disappointed that i cannot get to see nathan face to face as i am helping out in the hall rather then in the lawn, outside the building.Well i get to went there after we have finished our job .We enjoyed the snacks there after nathan left (around 7pm) while the guest were still there.This snacks are for the president and his guest, so the service and the quality of the food... well... is 5 Star one leh~
But my SATurday and Sunday Burned just like that...cannot go suntan.but luckily went to gym on friday already.Anyway my Weapon test is on this Tuesday.. die liao.. must study already~
